On the Wings of Inspiration

At our latest recording session Michael, our engineer, showed us a video he had taken of Krista's award winning composition, On Seaward Wings, at our performance at the Atkinson Memorial Church last December.  As we were watching it, we noticed that the sound quality seemed a little too perfect for the little video camera he recorded with.  And also, what happened to those live performance mistakes?  We will leave you to guess!

I do want to applaud Michael's superb editing skills.  It is an honor to have someone put together a video like this for us!

New Year's Day 2012

We enjoyed snow-shoeing with friends on New Year's Day.
The two Noahs kept up a serious snowball fight throughout the trip!

The carriage drove by!

At home we enjoyed another part of our New Year's tradition: chocolate fondue. We were so busy with the fondue we forgot to take pictures of it. Maybe next time!

New Year's Tradition 2011-12

Weighing the specialty cheeses for fondue.

Caraway rye and rustic breads sliced and ready.

Some of the ingredients that make fondue so tasty.
Empty dishes waiting for the bread, fondue, sausage, broccoli, and apples.

Janna stirring the cheese into the fondue.

Ready to be enjoyed!

Happy New Year

I’m writing this in a state of shock,
Watching the clock—tick tock, tick tock,
Advancing, approaching, relentlessly,
A brand new year; Oh, can it be?

So I’m wishing you fast, happy days,
Pleasuring you in myriad ways,
Filled with happiness and cheer,
Oh Happy, Happy Bright New Year!

We are grateful for the many blessings and memories from 2011, and are looking forward finding out what 2012 holds for us. Cheers to you!

the Grotto

This year marked our eighth annual performance at the Grotto's Christmas Festival of Lights. It was truly a delight to play for hundreds of people in the chapel.

At long last - a Concert post

We have been so busy this holiday season I haven't even had time to blog! Finally, I'm snatching up the opportunity to post. Enjoy these photos from our recent winter concert!

Dad at the sound board.
Singing our new arrangement of "Something Told The Wild Geese"
"Good people all this Christmas time,
Consider well, and bear in mind;
What our good God, for us has done
In sending His beloved Son..."
