Finally, we have our concert planned! How exciting...and scary! We were rather late in the planning because we were not sure if our CD would be ready by December. Everyone worked very hard and got "the master" in to SuperDigital the beginning of November. That gives them just barely enough time to have it duplicated by December 1st!
Then the hunt for a venue for our concert began. We kept thinking we had found a great place and then we would change our mind. Right when we thought we had it all settled, Gladstone Christian Church offered us their facilities in exchange for performing at their 100th anniversary celebration. The nearly brand new hall is has a nice stage, a kitchen, and is spacious and classy! We are so excited!
We are planning music from 7 to 9, with an intermission cookies, tea, and cider. Cd's will be for sale too! At 9:00, Sam Keator, a certified Irish dance teacher, will teach three social Irish dances in which everyone can participate. We will play live music for the dancers!
So many of our acquaintances are eager to help us make this a best ever concert! Our producers band, The Rite of Spring, will join us on a few songs. Some friends from Washington will be there to help with refreshments and photos. Our aunt and uncle will be our "rescuers". God has blessed us with wonderful friends!
