We were very excited to be able to attend Camp Dwight near Bend, Oregon for a second time. The three days of fellowship and fun are memories to be treasured.
We set up a "home base" of quilts and lawn chairs with the C., S. and J. family, then ventured out from there to visit and play. One of the best parts about Camp Dwight is catching up with old friends and making new ones.
Janna, Heather and Kathrina cooling off in the creek.
Mom, Keslie and David S. and Michael J. visiting under the shade trees.
Amy and Janna having a chat by the creek.
Noah played basketball and volley ball almost non-stop. I think this is the only picture he is in, because he was actually still enough for us to snap it!
Talent night is one of the best parts! We love to see the various talent that folks have to offer.
These children recited humorous poetry.
These girls did a skit on prayer.
We enjoyed the E. family's close harmonies.
We even had a Russian comedian!
Brendan Booher did a skit with his new father-in-law, Shannon.
We enjoyed hearing the Voetbergs once again.
Krista forgot her autoharp, so Elisha Voetberg obligingly joined us on For These Are My Mountains with his mandolin! (We couldn't take photos and be on stage at the same time...)
Sunday morning there was a 5K race. We were so proud that Krista and Dad ran it!
Dad breaking across the finish line! Since Dad was the oldest person to run, they made him his own category and awarded him a winner's T-shirt!
Krista coming down the home stretch!
We even managed to squeeze in a little English Country Dancing between the soccer games. (I was upset with how much of a squeeze it was...)
A view of the camp ground. I'm down there somewhere playing Ultimate Frisbee for the first time. (Thanks again Chris for being such a great team leader, despite the number of times we had to walk!) We are all looking forward to next year!

Wow! It sure looks like you all had a marvelous time!!! We still can't get over the fact that we couldn't make it :,-(... maybe next time though!
Glad you enjoyed yourselves and thanks for posting the pictures! I thoroughly (as usually) enjoyed looking at them!
Blessings,
~Bet
P.S. Just so you know... I think that's Brenden, not Ben! :)
Oops! I spelled "Brendan" wrong. It's really BRENDAN and not Brenden!!! Sorry! Just a typical me thing....... :|
~Bethany
Oops, you are correct. Of course I knew that was Brendan - my fingers were just automatically typing letters and my proof reading obviously wasn't good enough!

Looks like you had fun! Have fun... uh... unpacking :).

Hey, just a random question: does 5K mean 5000 feet?
Daniel
I was trying to figure out the same thing, Daniel!
~Bethany
Lovely pictures! I was so excited to see that you posted! What did you all do for the “Talent Night”?
See you all soon!
~Shiloh
yeah cuz if it was 5000 feet I think I could do that... not sure about 5000 meters...
DA
5000 meter is nothing! I could do 5000 inches.....
~Bethany
5000 meters is like, 3 miles... I guess I don't understand :).
Daniel
5K means 5 kilometers which is the same as 500 meters which is the same as 3 miles. Hope that solves the question!
Shiloh - we played "These are My Mountains" for talent night. It is a Scottish song and you will probably hear us play it if you come to see us at Crossroads in August!
~ Janna
Ah, I see. Yeah that would be hard :). I could probably ride my bike that far :).
