Of Painting

This fall we repainted our 1920's house. It was a big project, and we're thrilled with the results. Here are some snapshots from the process.

When we first moved here, we didn't even notice the decorative pillars around the front door. The the badly chipped creamish paint blended them in with the house front. After many paint chips and samples, we came up with a color scheme to display them at their best. (The colors look even better in person!)
Now let the rains come.

Oh you're done!
GREAT! You can (ALL) come over to our house now... no excuses! (We really need our soap thing...) ;D

P.S. I enjoyed seeing you the other day. Now how did the soap/candle turn out?!

One question: Did you do that all by hand?

Over all the colors (and everthing else, for that matter) looks great! You all did an amazing job!!! Can you come over and paint our house next?!? just kidding! ;)

Glad you all like it!!
The main body of the house was spray painted. :D Trimmings were done by hand.
Bethany, I'll have to talk to the family about returning the soap thing...

PS Hey Shilo, I didn't post first on _this_ one ;)

Oh, don't worry about it! I was only joking! You know, using it as an ...um... excuse to see you all again!

Anyway, take your time! You're more than welcome to borrow it!

P.S. Was that Janna who said that?

Yep, Daniel-

That is exactly what you see! :) I never got to see what your mother and sister made-- I hope it turns out well! :)

I'm sure it will, or did, or is doing... lol, how did this go from painting to soap so quickly? this is like, Unanswered Riddles, only without the unanswered riddles, just the random comments ;). I'm sure _this_ comment isn't helping any, but it felt good to write...

Ug. Your're right. Bethany says my style shows through too much when I write. I shall work on that for the future. ;) However I like what you wrote: "but it felt good to write..." and I totally agree with you!

I'm so sorry Shiloh... but you know me! I can recognize and imitate people’s style of writing… and well, you know how well!
