Kathrina Takes Lead

Kathrina's violin teacher, Laurie, has a wonderfully creative Suzuki Book 1 recital. Several years ago, a parent of one of her students wrote a story to go with the tunes, starting at the back of the book and moving forward. The students play the songs as a group, with more standing up as they move toward the front of the book. A few older students play harmony for interest. Usually Laurie leads the recital, but due to injuries she has not been playing her violin, so Kathrina volunteered to lead! It was so cute to see those students following her every move, as well as the ones who were blissfully inattentive!
