In July, we were excited to take a trip to Ashland, Oregon. We were able to bring our Grandma, and with Bill and Paula joining us from LaPine and Dave and Ludo coming from Las Angeles, we enjoyed a mini family reunion.
Our beautiful home-away-from-home. With five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two living rooms, two laundry rooms, and a large kitchen the house we found was plenty big enough for all of us!

We enjoyed swimming at the lake. Aunt Paula brought two luxurious air mattresses, so we could float around and relax...until Noah tipped us over.

And what is a trip to Ashland without a visit to the world-famous Shakespeare Festival? A childhood friend of Dad's is now head of the costume department at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She was able to give us a backstage tour!

We had to climb many stairs and follow many winding passages behind the Festival's three theatres. It was a good thing Lynn was with us, or we might not be here to tell about it!
The "Elizabethan Theatre" is modeled after a Renaissance Theatre. That night we enjoyed a production of Comedy of Errors.
The walls of the theatre are decorated with plaques listing every play the Festival has ever performed. What a delightful compliment to our history studies this year!
