Happy New Year

I’m writing this in a state of shock,
Watching the clock—tick tock, tick tock,
Advancing, approaching, relentlessly,
A brand new year; Oh, can it be?

So I’m wishing you fast, happy days,
Pleasuring you in myriad ways,
Filled with happiness and cheer,
Oh Happy, Happy Bright New Year!

We are grateful for the many blessings and memories from 2011, and are looking forward finding out what 2012 holds for us. Cheers to you!

What a mystery, Who could it be? One thing I know, it sure wasn't me. It's really a shame, in fact it's quite lame, that a poet, I never shall be.
I'm pretty good with limericks though, only problem is they are very unromantic and no one can take a limerick writer seriously. Mainly because if you write poems you get to be called a poet, and if you write limericks you have to have this clumsy title attached to your name so that everyone introduces you as "Josiah, Limerick Writer". Also, those who write poems get to say "I am a poet, and you did not know it." Which is sooooooo cool, but limerick writers can only say, "I am a limerick writer, and... Uh... I'm having fun with it..." Also limerick writers never make any money, and are never famous. That's why you never see some one's name underneath a limerick, it is always "Anounymous", because no one will know who you are anyway. Anyway, I must be off, good luck to you, Bethany and Daniel, I wish I could help but I could never guess who those two are that you named. Nice blog, Bisceglia Family, I'll probably visit again,

I kinda know the answer now, but I'll let them reveal it later :).

I am sorry to disappoint everyone, but...no, none of us wrote the poem. I just forgot to credit it. Joanna Fuchs wrote it. (I edited out some verses, however.)

Josiah, thanks for stopping by our blog.

yeah, um... don't be thanking any new visitors too fast, "Josiah" is just another identity of one of your already dedicated readers. We recall being a bit tired and thinking the comment was going nowhere fast, so we decided to blame it on someone else. We still like the poem, and by the way, that was probably the best limerick we've randomly come up with, which says a lot about our limerick writing skills.

I knew that he was a fraud all along...
I even googled "Josiah's" name because it made me rather suspicious. My two favortie words are "Suspicious" and "Skeptical" and they keep me out of trouble! :)

But I did like what he said about poets. Now I can say "I am a poet!" (But I only write them when there is a good reason for it!)

Kathrina: You could have been arrested for plagiarism!!! :)

That's not plagiarism, that's breaking copyright laws, but only if it was copyrighted.
Ivan Pickle? That's even less convincing than Josiah Grieve. Whoever this nut is sure isn't very creative.

Would anybody like to fess up as to who wrote those comments? It was either Daniel or one of the Strangs, obviously. Better luck next time concealing your identity.

Ebenezer Forest Farm said...

It was not a Strang.
I thought I made that clear!

Yeah it was me. Sorry, that was kinda immature, really I just didn't want to take the blame for writing a limerick as a comment to such a cool poem.
Anyhow, Kathrina, I am gravely disappointed that it wasn't one of you that wrote it, it also sounds like Bethany is a little bummed too. (Why else would she suggest that you be arrested?) Not to mention, we still haven't heard about your violin solo. (and I am beginning to think that either it went terrible, or, out of some misplaced sense of humility, you would just rather not brag.) I strongly suggest that you find a poem that one of you did write and post it. I will forgive you for not telling us how your solo went, even though I'm still really curious.
By the way, I can almost technically drive with Noah in the car, so if he's not there one morning... just imagine me forcing him to play board games blind folded. It would be torture!
Anyway, let me know when you finish your sample CD (it would serve as a good ransom for Noah I think).
