After getting up so early to watch the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain, we headed into Bar Harbor for a hot breakfast. After consulting our AAA guidebook, we decided 2 Cats was the place to go!
It was so cold we treated ourselves to lattes and chai tea!
Then our delicious breakfast came. If you are ever in Bar Harbor, Maine, we highly recommend 2 Cats!
Back in Acadia the mist was just starting to lift from the shoreline.
Krista enjoyed sketching.
Noah practiced rock climbing.
Then we decided to climb Beehive Mountain!
Wow! I hope we are prepared for this!
It was quite a climb! Portions of it were switchbacks, and portions where ladders like the ones Kathrina and Krista are climbing.

This sun dappled forest reminded us of the place in the end of The Fellowship of the Ring where the orcs attacked the fellowship.
After our hike we took a plunge in the Atlantic ocean! It was the first time we really swam in ocean water. (For some reason, we've never been to one of those warm CA beaches...)
