Family Fun at the Beach

We spent Thanksgiving week with our grandmother and Mom's brother in a lovely cabin overlooking the beach at Arch Cape! The weather was fairly mild and the house was welcoming with a lovely kitchen perfect for cooking Thanksgiving dinner!

We spent most of our time watching the waves out of the living room windows. Janna and Sarah relished in the time to read. We spent the evenings enjoying movies together. We made it through Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Cranford, and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Krista sketched a picture of the view out our windows.

Life wasn't all fun and relaxation. The girls had to study to keep up with their biology class.

But then Kathrina decided she had enough of that biology book and attempted to throw it in the sea!

But I guess Krista rescued it, because we had to make a trip into Cannon Beach to mail the girl's biology test to their teacher! Now they can enjoy the vacation in peace without worrying about cells, DNA, proteins, etc!

We had to keep up our music. No slacking off when we have so many concerts coming up in December!

Thanksgiving pies!

We enjoyed exploring the beach and rocky outcrops.

During low tide we found a variety of colorful critters! Now, biology students, what phylum, class, and order do starfish belong in?

Walking off Thanksgiving dinner!
