Regency Ball

In honor of Janna's 20th birthday, we hosted a ball. Somehow, we managed to keep it a secret from Janna during the entire planning process! Keslie S. was able to come up from Lebanon to call the dances, which were English country style social line dances. We invited friends from church and families we'd met through music and the film project. About fifty people were able to make it to the ball!

Thanks to Kami from Country Reflections for several of the photos below.

Dad and Krista work on getting the sound system ready for dance music while Sarah confers on the phone with Mom while everyone is waiting for Janna to arrive.

Mom led Janna into the grange blindfolded while our guests sang happy birthday.

Keslie prepares to call dances for the first time as the new Mrs. S! Kami called one dance so Keslie could dance with her husband!

Ready to dance!

The ladies! Aren't the hair-dos delightful?

A dance in progress. What fun!

Enjoying fellowship and food.

Singing Happy Birthday in Elvish.

I can't believe so many families could join us! We had such a wonderful time visiting and dancing. Thank you to everyone!

Wow! I was so pleased to see people dressed pleasantly and modestly. How refreshing. I'm sure it made for a most enjoyable gathering. God's blessings to you all. Oh, and Happy Birthday to Janna. :)
