Estranged Identity

Once again I have enjoyed playing for Tiffany Barclay's original musical play - this year titled Estranged Identity. Coming back to the orchestra pit one year later made me realize how much I have know done with my pedal harp and how much I learned over the course of the year! Two terms of playing with CCC's string orchestra, and one concert with the Marylhurst Symphony has taught me a lot about counting rests, marking additional cues and watching a conductor. I also had the advantage this year of getting my music more than one day in advance this year, as well as the pleasure of playing on more than one song. Tiffany even wrote some glissandos in the music for me this year!

My sisters went to see it with me opening night and we made a treat of it. On the way, we stopped by Crossroads Coffee Cafe and got some delicious drinks!

Krista and Kathrina enjoying their treats.
I got an icecream milkshake - which everyone else wished they had got once they saw (and tasted) it.
Sarah managed to safely drive and drink.

My sisters are thrilled that helping me with the harp admits them to the secret back stage!

Here I am in the orchestra pit!

The music is very beautiful and the play well done. Tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday are the only days left, so if you intend to come make your plans. Be sure and take a trip down to the orchestra pit and say hi to me - I always love to see a familiar face! Below is a video from Trueheart Production's website.
